Adder Technology announces an update for the ADDERLink INFINITY 3000 (ALIF3000) series. The KVM receiver, that delivers instant switching between unlimited virtual and physical environments, now supports a new range of VDI protocols including HTML5, SSH and VNC, ultra-high definition (UHD) resolutions and digital Display Port audio.

The ALIF3000 is positioned to support businesses as they transition to virtualized environments and continues to evolve to meet customer requirements. Designed to integrate into an existing IP KVM network seamlessly and securely, the ALIF3000 enables access to unlimited sources, be it virtual or physical, from a single workstation. The latest updates, available to new and existing customers, bring compatibility across a range of VDI protocols such as VNC, HTML5, SSH, and RDP – giving users the freedom to choose the client that best suits their needs and applications. Users can also benefit from high-definition detail and color accuracy when accessing their virtual sessions through the new package of updates.

Darren Jones, technology operations manager at Dock10, comments, “The new updates to the ADDERLink INFINITY 3000 Series further enhance our ability to seamlessly integrate all aspects of our workflow. The ALIF3000 gives us the ability to connect our vast virtual estate with our existing core system which is a huge bonus when it comes to improved workflows and productivity. Now, with the new updates, we can give our customers and engineers access to both physical and virtual servers, while maximizing our UHD real estate. Our KVM solution has allowed us to streamline our operations – meaning that we can continue to deliver top-notch live TV broadcasts and produce captivating 4K drama for our customers.”

Integration with ADDERLink INFINITY range brings the benefits of virtualized server access into the realm of a controlled IP KVM network. By defining user access rights and channel information through the trusted ADDERLink INFINITY Manager (AIM), IT managers can rest assured that target PCs can only be viewed and accessed by authorized users, ensuring optimum system security.

John Halksworth, senior product manager at Adder says, “Customer and market insight are the driving forces behind our product design and development. With the global server virtualization market projected to soar to $14 billion by 20301, it is critical that we empower our customers to seamlessly access their physical and virtual servers, in a secure way. By expanding our range of supported VDI protocols, and improving video resolutions for VDI sessions, our customers can maximize their UHD investments while harnessing the full potential of the virtual world.”
